PRAYER
"Virtues are formed by prayer. Prayer preserves temperance. Prayer suppresses anger.
Prayer prevents emotions of pride and envy. Prayer draws into the soul the Holy Spirit, and raises us to Heaven.” - Ephrem the Syria

FASTING
“Fasting is the soul of prayer, mercy is the lifeblood of fasting. So if you pray, fast; if you fast, show mercy;
if you want your petition to be heard, hear the petition of others.
If you do not close your ear to others, you open God’s ear to yourself.” - Saint Peter Chrysologus

LENTEN REGULATIONS ON FASTING
While fasting is traditionally a personal and private act of faith, there are days that the Church invites us all to fast as a community. We invite you to fast along with all of the members of the Church every Friday of Lent.
