YOUNG ADULTS
Welcome to the Young Adult Community at Saint Mary of the Lake and Our Lady of Lourdes! We are so glad you are here. Whether you have lived in Chicago for years, just moved here or are simply seeking a welcoming space to grow and explore your faith, you have a home with us.
Our community brings together young adults from across the parish to share in small-group fellowship, prayer, local service, social events and everyday life in the city. From weekly worship and seasonal faith discussions to casual beach days, pickup sports, and social outings, there are many opportunities to build meaningful relationships and live out your faith alongside your parish peers.
No matter where you find yourself on your spiritual journey, there is always a seat at the table for you here. We would love to meet you at our next gathering or after Mass, so please feel free to introduce yourself and dive right in. You are welcome here!

Flicks & Fellowship

Flicks & Fellowship is a relaxed and engaging evening movie series created for community, connection, and meaningful entertainment. We’ll gather on two Thursdays of each month through August for summer nights filled with great films, good company, and memorable conversation. Come at 7:30pm to enjoy fellowship, connect with others, and settle in before the movie begins at 8:30pm. Bring your lawn chairs, cozy blankets, and BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) as we kick back and enjoy a variety of inspiring, thought-provoking, fun, and motivational films under the summer sky. Whether you come with friends, family, or on your own, all are welcome! 2026

Our young adult discipleship faith groups provide a casual, welcoming space to discuss scripture, share life's ups and downs, pray for one another, and build lasting friendships. Find the group that fits your life right now:
Young Adult Women’s Group A supportive community of peers focused on navigating life, career, and faith while growing closer to God. Thursdays 6:00pm
Young Adult Men’s Group A space for honest conversations, authentic brotherhood, and practical encouragement for living out your faith. Tuesdays, 7:00pm
Couples Group Whether you are dating, engaged, or married, join other couples to discuss building a strong, faith-filled foundation for your relationship and future together. Tuesdays, 7:00pm
Getting Involved
We are always looking for parishioners to exercise their baptismal call and serve in one of our liturgical ministries. If you are interested in any of the following ministries, or interested in discerning your role in the liturgy, please fill out the liturgical ministry interest form [see button below] or contact our director of sacred music and liturgy, Michael Ruzicki, With all of our ministries, you will be contacted about a time for training and formation before you serve.
